Where Fundamentals Take Root
One-hour weekly sessions built around individual skill instruction, mixed with fun games and challenges. Open to any player — no tryout required, all skill and experience levels welcome and supported.
Detailed and Developmentally-Appropriate
Each session blends focused individual instruction with games and challenges, so players build fundamentals while having fun.
The goal is a thorough grasp of all the fundamental individual basketball skills: shooting, driving, cutting, pivoting, dribbling, passing, rebounding and defending. Players will graduate from our programs as complete basketball players, ready for their next challenge.
We run two independent seasons — sign up for either one, or both.
All Skill and Experience Levels Welcome
Night League club player, school-team player, or never played on a team before? Whatever your daughter’s background, she’ll be supported at Triple Threat. Our sessions are built to meet the needs of many different kinds of players. Coach Rob teaches every fundamental in levels, so each player can take on any activity at the difficulty that suits her — and our alumni staff are there to step in when something is too easy or too hard.
Who It's For
Skill Development is intended for players not on one of our Travel Teams — Travel Team players already get individual skills training built into their program.
If your daughter is in the middle of trying out for a Travel Team, you're welcome to register for Skill Development in the meantime. If she makes a team, we'll remove her Skill Development registration and issue a full refund.
Winter Season Oct 25 – Feb 28
Winter sessions emphasize individual skill work more than team play. Some of our athletes also play school or Night League basketball during the week; for others, Triple Threat is their only basketball. Winter works for both, because the core fundamentals are the one thing no amount of game time teaches on its own.
Spring Season Apr 7 – Jun 23
Sessions alternate between individual skill work and team skills with scrimmage.
Your Holidays Are Your Own
Triple Threat believes that family time is important. We will never schedule any practices or games on holidays, long weekends, or school breaks.
Coaching & Capacity
Every session is led by Coach Rob, with regular support from our Alumni and other trusted coaches and mentors from our basketball community. As our programs grow, we thoughtfully bring in experienced coaches who share our player-first philosophy, ensuring every athlete receives the same high-quality instruction, encouragement, and individual attention.
Sessions are intentionally capped at approximately 30 players to maintain a high-quality learning environment and provide meaningful individual feedback.
Alumni: Role Models in the Room
At every session, roughly one in every eight players on the floor is an alumna — a high schooler (Grades 9–12) who came up through Coach Rob's programs and is back as a volunteer assistant coach. Not a poster on the wall — a real, present example of what these skills look like a few years down the road.
